Colegio Balmes · School Cafeteria Mural

This mural is one of my biggest projects to date, created for the cafeteria of Colegio Balmes in Palma de Mallorca, in collaboration with interior designer Patricia from @pts.interiorismo.

This mural uses simple geometric forms to depict the island landscape — mountains, sea, clouds, sun, and moon. I applied a pastel palette of blue, light green, and yellow to bring character while keeping the space soft and calm.

Precision was key. I hand-painted every shape, including perfect circles, demanding patience and careful attention to detail. I also integrated the name “Balmes” using the same visual language, making it part of the mural instead of a separate graphic element.

The cafeteria hosts school events, children’s performances, and presentations. The mural functions as a calm and creative backdrop that supports gatherings, movement, and imaginative activities.
